Stevia
Stevia is a leaf extract that produces a non-carbohydrate sweetener. Although it is sweeter than sugar, stevia helps maintain even blood sugar levels, making it an attractive alternative sweetener for diabetics.
In high concentrations, stevia can sometimes leave a bitter or licorice-like aftertaste.
